NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Class focus:

• Introduction to major brushes and their uses.

• Students will explore different painting tools, palettes, and surfaces.

• Opportunities to use several various brands and professional levels of paint.

• Proper water control and cleaning techniques.

• Lesson on mixing all major colors along with tints, tones, and shades of each.

• Focus on making decisions on value and contrast as it relates to the student’s personal painting.

• Introduction to the Color Wheel and its key properties to create secondary and intermediate colors.

• Students will complete a personalized painting of their image choice.
