Beginner Crochet and Knitting Class
Thursday Evenings 6:00-7:30pm
Students must choose ONE Style to learn in this class (crochet OR knitting). If you are hoping to learn both, you may take this class again.
Crochet Students: Learn the basic stitches: chain, single, half double, double, triple and slip stitches. Second week we will perfect these basic stitches and learn to increase, decrease, and work in a round. No experience needed please bring a skein of worsted weight yarn (preferably in a light color) and a crochet hook standard size F, G, or H.
Knitting Students: Learn to cast on, knit, yarn over, make buttonholes and bind off in garter stitch in the first week. Cast on, purl, ribbing and bind off in stockinette stitch and ribbing in the second week. No experience needed please bring a skein of worsted weight yarn (preferably in a light color) and a pair of size 7, 8, or 9 needles. (We have extras too)
Ages: 10-Adult (younger may take private lessons)
